COMMENTS In the UK, Neighbourhood Records was revived for this European only album. The original UK 'wave' cover of Seventh Wave was withdrawn and replaced by the second cover shown above. For the German issue on Bellaphon Records two additional tracks were added, Son Of A Rotten Gambler and What Do I Keep, the latter being a re-recording of a song that originally appeared on Sunset and Other Beginnings. Both these tracks have a strong country feel to them. Nickel Song is the version from Photograph. Every Breath Of The Way and Didn't You Ever Love Somebody were later re-recorded for Melanie's next release, Am I Real Or What, and a live version of Apathy was included on the On Air CD Lovin' The Boy Next Door appeared on Cowabonga and Precious Cargo. Every Breath Of The Way b/w Lover's Lullaby was issued as a single and was a minor hit in the UK, reaching No. 70 in the UK charts in September 1983. It was issued in a number of formats, as a standard 7" single (NB1), as a 7" picture disc (NBP1) and as a 12" single, which also contained the non-album track Put A Hat On Your Head. Didn't You Ever Love Somebody b/w Dance To The Music (NB2) was issued the second single, but failed to make any impact.
