COMMENTS CD 1 is basically Shine On – The Latest and Greatest though the version of Long Train Running is a different mix to the one included on the original issue. Two Buddah recordings, I’m Back In Town and I Don’t Eat Animals have been added to close CD 1, but do not sit well coming after Melanie’s wonderful recording of California Dreaming. The second CD is mainly recordings from the Buddah era, though a number have been remixed to included additional instrumentation. I have to say that I prefer the originals and think the remixing detracts rather than adds anything. The last four tracks are all taken from the 1993 release Silence Is King.
