COMMENTS Tracks 1 to 12 are the
original Buddah studio recordings. Lay Down (Candles In The Rain) is
the full version. Summer of Love is the version that was included on
the CD Beautiful People: The Greatest Hits Of Melanie (BMG/Buddha 74465
99630 2). Rag Doll makes its first appearance on CD having been
previously available only as a hard to find 7” vinyl single. This is the
longer version with the spoken intro and spoken passage towards the end of
the song. Sound quality is excellent
and I would guess these are the re-masters done by Robert Fripp and David
Singleton. The exception is Rag Doll and thou the sound quality is very good
it is not up to the standard of the rest of the CD. |
