Working with the individual rider I adopt a step by step approach:
Step 1 is to prepare a full profile of you the rider. This helps me identifiy your strengths and weaknessess. What you like to do and what you don’t. What your current level of fitness is and what your goals are for the future.
Step 2 involves drawing up a year plan. This periodises the year into training and racing blocks. It will also identify where the rider wants to peak for races or set goals to be attained. It will also indentify any testing that is required to gauge progress.
Step 3 is to design a monthly “Meso plan”. This will broadly describe the training programme for the coming few weeks.
Step 4 is designing the weekly training plan. This will describe in detail what training is to be done & to what level. It also allows the rider to feed back information relating to the training to myself for logging. Importantly it allows me to make any adjustments in the next weeks training or cycle to cater for illness or injury.
Throughout the above process whenever it is possible I will work directly with the rider in both training and competiti0n. This is not about sending me your money in return for a bunch of paperwork. If you do well so do I.
Constantly monitoring your progress will provide you with the support to do well, progress and succeed. It will also provide that extra bit of motivation when it is required.
When required I can also tap into the network of sports therapists to provide additional services such as massage and sports injury diagnosis.
