Planners Comments.
As always it was really rewarding, though ultimately tiring at the end of the day, to have such a good day with so many people enjoying the courses on offer. Ham Hill has a lot to offer in a small area and it is often difficult to find new control sites. I think we succeeded in visiting some new areas, certainly ones we have never been to before, and taking different route choices from previous events. Talking to many of you afterwards it seem they were appreciated.
We would like to thank Mike for controlling, as always providing the voice of experience and making sure we did not confuse too many people and Bill for putting up with the changes required to the maps due to thinning and our quest for new control sites.

Organisers Comments
It is very pleasing to see so many competitors in the various Green leagues in the QOFL, even if some of them had to be coerced! As always it would be nice to see more (youngsters) in the Orange and Yellow. In all the colour leagues there are clear leaders but with two more QOFL’s to go no doubt the chasers will be looking to peg back the deficits.
At the Ham Hill event a Silva eclipse grip compass was found between controls 21 and 22 on the Green course (reasonably near the finish). Any claimants please contact Tony Milroy (01278-427875)
Finally, at the end of the afternoon we were left with one Yellow control stub. We were fairly certain that the owner had returned but it took a few phone calls and time in looking for the car to establish this. PLEASE remember that every starter should report to the finish – even if they have retired – so that all competitors are accounted for and no unnecessary searching has to take place.5
