BDI is an advisory company which offers a range of services to enable clients to expand their business into new and challenging markets. We assist companies to research the market, find suitable business partners and negotiate commercially attractive agreements. We have many years experience of developing business world-wide and we now concentrate on markets in Europe and East Asia, where our China Division is well established.

China's size, diversity and rapid change, not to mention its culture and the broad influence of government, all contribute to making it a difficult operating environment. In addition, there is intensive competition, not only from Western companies which have established themselves in China, but also from Chinese companies which have rapidly adopted Western practices to enhance their own competitiveness.

BDI has extensive experience in China, helping clients to understand the Chinese business culture and the often all-pervading bureaucracy, keeping up-to-date with the rapidly changing business environment and new opportunities that arise. We assist our clients to research the market, to identify and evaluate potential business partners, and to formulate aggressive and appropriate marketing strategies. We advise on the structure and negotiation of joint ventures with the potential partner and with the Chinese approval authorities at municipal, provincial and national level, as appropriate.

We have co-operation agreements with a number of organisations in China which provide a service to our clients and help us to maintain close relationships with key decision and policy makers. These key individuals include Ministry level officials, Provincial Governors, top Communist Party officials and the Mayors of major cities, all of whom can have a major influence on the successful negotiation of business agreements in China.

BDI maintains an extensive China data base, if you would like a report on your industry and its prospects in China, we would be happy to supply it, free of charge, via e mail.

BDI is always seeking new opportunities for business and new partners with whom it can co-operate. We would be pleased to hear from any advisory company with clients that could benefit from our skills.
