'Hard Impact' is the second album from Swiss Rock Band Crystal Ball which follows 'In The Begining' the band's debut release from 1999.

Straight away it's obvious that the band's sound has improved 100% with the songwriting also taking a massive leap forward.  If you thought the debut was good wait until you hear this !!

Soundwise the band have headed in a heavier direction with a new more powerful sound that should take the group into the premier league of melodic rock.

The production by Tommy Newton is superb, this guy has to be one of the best in the business.

The best tracks for me are the two most uptempo numbers 'Crystal Ball' and 'Feel The Passion' and if the band release the superb 'Queen Of The Night' as a single then they could gain some chart action.

Lead Singer Mark Sweeney is the owner of a superb voice and his vocal range at times is quite staggering.  The rest of the guys in the band also help out with some excellent backing vocals giving the band a massive vocal sound.

Guitarist Scott Leach also adds many magic moments to each track, just check out his superb work on 'Passion' for all the proof you need.

In conclusion one of the best melodic rock albums of the year and a top priority purchase for all fans    HOME
