ERUPTION REVIEW

Thank God for CD Re-Issues !! - Having sold all my old vinyl records years ago it comes as a massive relief to finally get to hear this great band again.  Formed by Bernie Marsden, Alaska had one very special thing going for them, the vocals of brilliant frontman Rob Hawthorn (wonder where he is now ?)  This guy was very special indeed and for that reason alone it's a great wonder why this band never gained the success their talents deserved.

Pretty straight forward melodic rock sums up the band, but the songs are of a very high standard.

Credit to Castle Music for releasing this stuff and you should also be able to pick up a copy for under a tenner. If you can't find a copy just e-mail rock.paul@virgin.net
and we will point you in the right direction.

Also worth looking out for in second hand shops and record fairs is the hard to find 'Alaska Live' video that was released in 1990.
