ERUPTION REVIEW
This Double CD Set has only been released in Australia, so the bad news for fans is that they are going to have to pay import prices for this tasty little item, that said it seems to be available for around the £ 17.99 mark so that's not too bad.
The sound quality of this CD is excellent and the band sound in superb form, hardly surprising given that the 'Total Abandon' world tour lasted nearly a year.
Anyone who caught the band live in the UK on this tour would confirm that Steve Morse has given the rest of the group the required 'kick up the arse' making the Deep Purple of today a formidable live outfit.
Tracks old and new blend together extremely well and judging by the crowd reaction the new songs went down just as well as the classic older ones.
My guess is that this Deep Purple line-up have got a great chance of regaining the ground that they have lost in the last few years, they just need to stick together and do what they do best - making great albums and playing cracking live shows.
