Sorry guys but this album just does not hit the spot for me.  What's missing ? Well to be brutely honest songs !! - The blame lies firmly at the door of chief songwriter Art Alexakis who for some reason has stripped the band's sound down and gone for a laidback stance which just does not work and does not suit the band at all.

I can see the album coming to life in a live setting where the band can inject some magic into proceedings, but sitting here in my room I find the material pretty boring.

This release is part 1 of two albums that the band will be releasing this year with the second promising to feature heavier songs.  Hopefully the next release will redress the balance and put Everclear back on top of the alternative rock heap.

I can't really recommend this to anyone, so unless you are a fan then stay well clear.
