| Every year at Mistley Place Park we not only rescue
hundreds of new residents, but also re-home many animals |
| On site there is a rabbit re-homing area where rabbits
looking for suitable new homes can be found and a rodent house where there are
often gerbils, chinchillas and guinea pigs looking for homes. |
There are at present around 36 resident dogs that have a
variety of problems such as behavioural or health issues relating to a number
of different backgrounds such as cruelty, breeding or abandonment. Many of
these dogs would have been put down at other centres, being seen as un-homeable
or for failing 'temperament tests'. |
| Here they simply join the pack and all live together in the
house spending the rest of their days being loved and cared for. |
| We always have dogs and cats looking for homes but because
being viewed every day by lots of people would be very stressful for them and
because whilst they are here this is their home, dogs and cats for homing can
only be seen by appointment. |
