April 5th 2008: PRE SEASON WORK PARTY , SATURDAY 12th APRIL at CLUB at 10.00 am .
The Ground is looking in fantastic condition, but there are numerous jobs which need to be done prior to the start of the season. A work party has been organized for SATURDAY 12th APRIL, and ALL help would be very much appreciated. The more players who attend, the quicker the jobs can be done, and the better YOUR ground will be for it!
PLEASE do not rely on the same few to do this essential work. It is YOUR club. YOU will be using the ground and facilities. Please assist your committee who have been working incredibly hard over the past few seasons to improve standards throughout the club.

August 1st 2005: Despite the indifferent weather the coaching week for youngsters held at Aston Manor's Church Road ground was a huge success. With funding support from the 'Aston Pride' project the course was superbly organised by the club's Youth Co-coordinator, Ian Watson, and Welfare Officer Dominic Ashton. Excellent coaching sessions for up to 50 youngsters were delivered by Manor players Chris Booth, Andrew Forman and Ravi Sehn who received invaluable assistance from James Soden, Andy Watson and Rajan Bhardwa, who is captain of Cheshire team Holmeschapel CC. The morning sessions, between 10 and 1 o'clock, were aimed at beginners to the game and attracted between 30 -40 youngsters of all backgrounds who received coaching on all of the basic aspects of the game. In the afternoon, between 2 and 5 o'clock, between 20-30 more experienced players were able to make use of the new fantastic net facilities at the club as the coaches worked on the more technical aspects of their game in a net environment. Having already achieved 'Club Status' the coaching week was another example of progress being made by the new Youth Administration at Aston Manor Cricket Club, supported by a pool of young and enthusiastic coaches ( see Picture Gallery )
