Outdoor Activities. Try your hand at Kayaking or if your good
enough Canadian. Or maybe, you might like to have
a go at rafting. That's after you've built your
own raft of course.
Too Energetic? Then try a gentle pony trek on a
'gentle pony' (yer right), or even archery or
small bore shooting.
Hiking? Perhaps you would like to go on a hike. From
fells to mountain peaks we have the expertise to
help you achieve them all.
Not challenging enough
for you? Then why not try a forest trek after dark. No
torches allowed. You will have only the moon and
the stars to light up your path. You will be
surprised what you will be able to see. Much more
than you ever thought possible.
When? Ok so we can't do all of these every week.
And some of them need a bit of training before
you can do them at all. But that is why we go
camping on sites which have specialist
instructors for specialist Activities. Want to
know more about what you can learn on camp.
Then click on this button.
Advancements are the way
that you can train for some of these activities
and others not listed here. The Campmaster award
at the top of this page is the highest uniform
patch that a Trail Ranger can earn. But you start
off as a Trailblazer as a recruit. But that is
not the end of the story. In the photo below the
handbook is open and showing the path to the Gold
Medal of Achievement. This is a very high honour
indeed. Only a hand full of Rangers have ever
received it. Want to know more? Then come and
find out for yourself.
