Events
As well as writing, I also like to get out there and promote my own work and produce live events, both in my own right and as part of The House of Homosexual Culture. Here's a list of what's coming up in the next few months.
Calendar:
20 April: FOREIGN TRADE. What draws queer people from all over the world to London? What do they find when they get here - and what do they leave behind? We explore multicultural gay London with contributors from Nigeria, Brazil, Singapore, Ireland, Russia and elsewhere. Hosted by me, from the USA. 5th Floor Conference Room, Southbank Centre. Details here
27 May: CROSSING OVER. A celebration of trans identities through talk and performance, featuring LadyFerry, Lazlo Pearlman, Dee Chanelle and more. Spirit Level, Southbank Centre. Details here .
4 July: LONDON LITERATURE FESTIVAL: JAKE ARNOTT. The House presents a LitFest special with Jake Arnott, reading from and talking about his new novel, THE DEVIL'S PAINTBRUSH. Purcell Room. Details here .
9 July: LONDON LITERATURE FESTIVAL: LOVE AND MARRIAGE. Celebrating queer romance with authors Paul Burston, Marion Husband and more. Details here .
11 July: LONDON LITERATURE FESTIVAL: SHRIEK! A big messy evening celebrating the word - rhymed, spoken, rapped and sung. Featuring Ste McCabe, Q-Boy, VG Lee and more. Details here .
16 July: LONDON LITERATURE FESTIVAL: STONEWALL 40. It's 40 years since the events that symbolically "started" gay liberation - but what do the Stonewall Riots mean to us now, in the UK? An evening of talk and performance featuring Jeffrey Weeks and more. Purcell Room. Details here .
