The
Mystical Path
Where are
we heading?
Entering into the mysteries of the psychic realm will always be a worthwhile journey, it can amaze, confound and turn pre-conceived ideas of existence upside down and inside out. On occasion you may find yourself so full of energy, love and oneness with life that you want to share it with the world. If you use your intuitive skills to help others, you will find the abundance of joy, comfort and hope you bring rewarded by the response in those you whose lives you touch. These are the feelings that reward the traveler, on a journey of discovery unlike any other.
Yet many enter the realm with clear ideas of their goals and expectations, and many are disappointed when such prizes seem unobtainable. Although this mystic quest is wondrous, it also has pitfalls for the unprepared. Like any journey into unknown territories, preparation will serve you well. Look ahead by all means, but the wise man looks where he treads. Look to your left and right, for parallel roads exist with their own unique landscapes.
The Mystic and the Mundane
While studying the mystic arts I learned how to adjust my sensitivity, alter my conscious interpretation of information around me. In short I could alter my state of being. In meditation I am transported to new worlds and higher levels of existence, in psychic meetings with others I am aware and open.
But sadly many people separate the two worlds, they can be spiritual while in a group or private individual study, or while at church and giving readings. Then they lose those feelings in their every day life, as anger and frustration take over. Some people think that their everyday lives get in the way of their mystic studies, holding them back from progressing. When in reality they are just as relevant and important. Our marriages, children, work, pastimes and general interaction and appreciation of people are our missions and spiritual tasks.
It's no easy task either! I can get annoyed, often do, but I'm teaching myself to see life through spiritual eyes. I now think before reacting to a situation, there is often more than meets the eye and it's all too easy to jump to conclusions or take something a little too personally. Until we can unite our studies into our daily lives, we are only improving one aspect of ourselves. We should not see the development of our gifts as the goal, but rather an expression of the people we are learning to become.
