The weekend of 24/25 May is now free, and we're having a boat handling weekend

• parking
• leaving
• coming back
• colliding
• returning
• picking up buoys
• tying up between piles
• etc. etc.

basically, getting to know how to handle a boat in close quarters. There'll also be the opportunity to brush up on your navigation, pilotage, meterology, lights, shapes, buoyage, and other skills - essentially, the practical parts of the RYA exams - so those of you who've done theory and want to remind yourselves, or want to actually move the boat around, this is your chance.

I'll be below all weekend with my head in my hands, don't worry :-) It's actually a long weekend - Bank Holiday Monday - so there'll be plenty of chance to practice everything in different places and tidal and wind conditions, plus the chance for a few blasts of sailing in between.
