Faith walked along a street in LA. She felt her stomach
complaining she needed food. She sighed knowing; she had no
money, no home and a warrant out for her arrest.
The brunette lent against a street light. Several cars drove by.
She felt the first spots of rain against her skin. Just great she
thought. The girl raised her head to the sky. A police car
flashed it's lights. "Shit!" The girl cursed running
from the car. The police car followed her it's lights flashing.
Blast it! Faith felt her frustrations growing the car's occupants were not going to give up. She saw a steam of flashing lights in the distance. They were headed in her direction.
Faith looked round while she ran. She spotted a narrow alley
way across the road. She moved for the ally way crossing across
the patrol car's path. The car struck her. Faith was thrown like
a rag doll by the impact. Her head hit the window screen. The
glass cracked as she left blood on the window screen. Pain shot
though her head. She continued over the top of the car. The
slayer landed on her shoulder. She heard the bones shattering.
There was a screeching of brakes, a brief flash of pain then
darkness.
Faith woke she was floating. Around her was only darkness.
"Faith," a voice spoke in the darkness.
"Faith," the voice repeated.
"Who's there?" Faith called out.
"Well, young lady you are a pain," the voice answered.
"Answer me! Who are you?" Faith screamed.
The voice answered, "You're very demanding." The voice paused. "Slayer."
"This isn't funny!" Faith sighed.
"It's better than being in hell," the voice chuckled.
"I'm dead!" The slayer gasped.
"That is debatable, " the source of the voice appeared. It was a man he glided over to Faith. "You're a handful," he grinned. "Ever saw a film with Paul Hogan in? Well, this is a bit like that."
Faith shook her head. The man sighed. "OK, listen up," he frowned. "You're going to earn a clean slate."
Faith's eyes narrowed.
"Don't look at me like that. I didn't just pull you from the jaws of death itself. So listen up girl." The man yelled at her. "There's a universe it's got a problem. There's a group of creatures on that universe's Earth. A number of them have been vamped. They're called Pokémon.
Part 1
Faith sighed. She had been on this planet over three months.
There had not been a sign of a vampire Pokémon.
She was beginning to get bored. Her job her so called 'probation
officer' had got her was washing plates in a small road cafe.
The brunette pushed a few stray hairs out of her face. Boy! I
need some action. She thought to herself and went back to washing
plates.
A Gastly floated in the air outside. "She'll do," the ghost Pokémon spoke.
"Good," a Ganger replied then disappeared.
The Gastly smiled and became invisible.
Later that night. The slayer was walking back to her bed sit. She kept sensing something following her, but could not see it. The girl stared into the space behind her.
"Gastly. Gastly," the ghost Pokémon spoke appearing in front of her.
"Errk!" Faith yelped.
Part 2
Faith jumped back taking jump a defensive stance. Gastly just smiled and quickly turned invisible before Faith could react any more. Faith walked slowly forward. "What was that?" She thought out aloud.
"Gastly," came a yell from behind her. The dark slayer spun round. The ghost Pokémon just floated there smiling at her. He then vanished again.
"I'm getting mad," Faith fumed.
"Good," Gastly laughed knocking Faith to the ground.
"Why you floating bob!" Faith threw a punch. The Pokémon smiled as the girl's fist passed though him.
"I'm a ghost Pokémon. Physically attacks can't affect me," Gastly spoke.
Faith snared. "I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship," Gastly spoke with a smile. He moved forward and though the slayer. Faith's slayer senses went into over drive.
"Why you little . . ." Faith began.
"Temper! Temper!" The Pokémon interrupted.
"I'll give you temper," Faith snapped.
Gastly turned and gave the brunette a great big lick. "Aww!" Faith yelled.
Gastly just chuckled.
Part 3
Faith wiped her face. Several very colourful words entered her mind. She smiled and launched herself at the Pokémon's back. Gastly shot straight upwards in the air avoiding she attack. Faith threw though the air. Gastly bust out laughing at Faith's shocked expression. Faith continued moving though the air. "Oh Sh . . ." she landed face down. She skidded along the ground.
"Here begins the first lesson," Gastly laughed. "Pokémon have heightened senses."
Faith let out a groan and began to stand up. The slayer was throw against a wall and held there. The Pokémon floated level with her face. Gastly looked her straight in the eye. "Don't test me slayer." He glared at her. "I can make you wish you had never been born. Understand?"
"Yes," Faith growled.
"Good," Gastly smiled and Faith felt herself released.
"So what do you want?" Faith asked.
"Me nothing. I'm your watcher." The Pokémon laughed.
Faith's jaw hit the floor!
Faith gathered her senses and ran up to the Pokémon. "I don't believe it!" She fumed. "I've some how got you for a watcher?"
"It's true." Gastly replied.
"Give me strength," the dark slayer groaned.
"I think it's going to be a case of giving me strength." Gastly sighed.
"Listen," Faith spoke. "I like it best when I work alone."
"That's not going to happen.," Gastly chuckled.
"Why not?" Faith placed her hands on her hips and stood in his path. The Pokémon stopped moving forward.
"Cause I say so." The Pokémon looked her in the eyes.
Faith thought about saying some choice words of colourful description but thought better of it. Blast it! He isn't going to let me work on my own. "I don't like this."
"There's a lot in life we all don't like, but we put up with it." The Pokémon commented. "I wanted to be haunting a castle but oh no. I end up being some brat's so called watcher."
"Hey I'm not a brat!" The girl protested.
"Yes you are!" Gastly grinned.
"I'm not!" Faith stamped her foot like a child showing off.
"See you're acting like one." The Pokémon laughed.
"I'm not!" Faith screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Come on girl. I want to see my home." The ball shaped Pokémon started floating forward.
"Your new home?" Faith asked. The slayer then realised he meant her home. Hang on he's heading in the direction of! "What do you mean your new home? You're heading towards my bedsit!" Faith yelled.
"Yes my new home." He turned to face her.
"Why you little steak," Faith marched towards the Pokémon. "You mean to say that I've gotta put up with you when I'm at home?"
"Yes." A blush spread across the Pokémon's face.
"No way." She jabbed a finger in the Pokémon's direction.
"Yes way." Gastly spoke disappearing.
Faith stood there. "Why you little self important . . . " She spoke under her breath while her knuckles turned white from the fists she was making.
"I hope you keep it warm." Came a whisper in the wind.
Part 5
Faith lay in her bed. She groaned unhappily. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and slowly sat up. Faith sighed got out of her bed and made her way to her bathroom. Sleepily she got in the shower and turned the water on. It was warm for once. Faith grabbed the soap and began to wash.
Gastly floated up from the floor behind her. The Pokémon smiled and spoke. "Want me to wash your back.?"
"Errk!" Faith screamed and quickly grabbed a towel to cover herself. "What the!" The slayer yelled. "Can't you leave me to shower in peace?"
Gastly smiled and produced a book and an umbra. "A watcher should know everything to do with the slayer." He read.
"I don't care this is my bathroom. I'm having a shower! Now get out of my bathroom!" Faith screamed at the top of her voice.
"Aww!" Gastly moaned and floated out of the room.
Faith felt a bite on the back of her leg.
