RIVER tell me the secret of life
Run river run into labyrinthine Hall's
Return to me the simpler years without times myriad walls
White water fleck; froth up snaps of memory heard
Of Childhood dreams and thoughts of life in simpler passions stirred
Not sullied by the pace of life and avaricious greed
But still cushioned by the loved ones who satisfied the need
Gave solace in this Vale of Tears
And calmed us in the grip of fears
Headwaters thresh, storms that swell the pace
Trout that find the shady pool win refuge in the race
The drive upstream against the flow, the ever crushing tide
Which scours the flotsam, searches out that casual place to hide
And then the peace in calmer weather, contrast clear as Bell
As torrent loses drive of hate to life sustaining well
Refreshing searchers in the quest for life
Demanding respect, else payment in strife
Rushing torrent; cool reflections: Life mirrors much the same
People matter, pools in life they keep us in the frame
As we rush from start in slap and fear to soft surrendered end
Yet hear the sound of Sibling clear, Loves quieter message send
Brooding mountain, MOCHANT, dark; Dee has worn you down
River has sucked your bones for years and tells your tale in town
"We take from the skies and must flow to the Sea"
That's the secret of Life as you tell it to me
