THE HAT

The Virgin cloth does always have the hope

That Sculptor's eye, sufficient to the task, make rope

To join

But what value has a hat without a head?

Resources used in greed, give "no purpose" life that's dead

Without heir

A hat has many functions, cloth great many more

But once cast the purpose is defined; produced___ a single door

But to where?

Cut to fit the many, shield them from life's ill

A hat does bless the donor, testifies to a will

That has life

To create a knife

And sever strife to sculpt a future for us still
