-Tower BridgeThe Princess Pocahontas cruises passed Tilbury Docks, under the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge (Dartford's river crossing) and through the remarkable engineering feat of the Thames Barrier and on to Greenwich.
Option 1:
At Greenwich you can go ashore for two and a half hours and explore all the treasures that this historical area has to offer - The National Maritime Museum, the Royal Naval College and the famous tea clipper Cutty Sark.
Bargain hunt in the numerous antique shops or amongst the stalls of the Saturday craft market.
Option 2:
If you prefer, stay aboard and carry on cruising up river. View the changing face of the river frontage at Docklands and Canary Wharf before passing through the gateway to the City of London - Tower Bridge.
From here on, every way you look there is something of interest - The Tower of London, HMS Belfast, the replica of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tate Modern and the National Theatre to name but a few!At Westminster Bridge are Big Ben and the magnificent Houses of Parliament. If time and tide allow we cruise on, passing Lambeth Palace and the Tate Gallery to Chelsea where we turn round and head back to Greenwich, Tilbury and Gravesend.
