Greek plays seem to work particularly well very good production.
More ancient Greek drama!
Enjoyed it and found the commitment of the actors inspiring.
Marvellous!
What a great discovery. We could do with more like it to attract people who dont normally go to the theatre.
Fantabulous!
Excellent acting and interesting free plays are a great idea. More publicity would be good, because it was only by chance that I knew about the play.
A great idea what an excellent space it is!
More publicity signs to the venue.
Better publicity needed it was only by chance that I happened to see a newspaper item.
Nice show!
It was a pleasure to be able to watch the performances of these great actors for free. Thank you!
Very interested especially as its in the open air.
Very inclusive, accessible, fun. Fresh ideas, lovely space. Perhaps better signposting needed.
I thought this performance was fantastically acted. Love the venue.

I thought it was fantastic, I had never heard of it before today. It was a lovely community atmosphere.
I love it!
Speak to Ken about paying the actors!
Very enjoyable.
Both shows were very enjoyable. All theatre should be 1 hour.
I watched your performance of Agamemnon a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it immensely. The setting added such a great deal to the acting and direction. Thank you.
I found attending Agamemnon at The Scoop such an outstanding and memorable experience that I felt I should write to say so. The Scoop was a well night perfect ambience for a Greek play; its in the open air, we sit on stone benches almost in the round and uniquely, we feel ourselves in the middle of the city. Greek plays were civic events deepening a sense of civic pride to be overlooked by Tower Bridge and City Hall must make us feel citizens of no mean city and the better able to identify with the citizens of Argos. Having the Palace invisible behind us intensified the feeling.
The choice of play was inspired so many contemporary resonances what was the war for? etc
The production was outstanding. Having endured all the clutter (suitcases, handbags for the chorus etc) of Iphigenia at Aulis at the National earlier in the summer, the minimalism of Agamemnon was refreshing. To have the Chorus emerge from the audience was inspired, and stressed that they were ordinary people indistinguishable from us
The cast was audible throughout, despite competition, and above all they were moving from individual members of the chorus to the main characters. They conveyed a variety of feeling with real power again in stark contrast to ones inevitable So what? response to Iphigenia at Aulis at the National and were true to the spirit and intent of the original.
Roll on next summers production!
