CAFÉ THAT IS CHILDS PLAY

 

Anyone who has ever tried to entertain a bored child and still have a chat with a friend will know how difficult it can be to do both. But our concept may be just the solution.

 

Junglee Fun is the brainchild of Samantha Rollo, a woman determined to solve her own problem of somewhere great for lunch or a coffee that was also great fun for her kids.

 

“I always seemed to be chasing my toddlers around and only managing a few minutes chat with friends”, “And I could see it was the same for others too, so I started to explore the idea of combining good home cooking alongside safe play for the kids.”

 

I wanted somewhere safe and totally child friendly, so I have put the emphasis on a good fun environment where parents will feel welcome and happy to bring their kids.  We also delight in organising, and hosting children’s parties.

 

The food on the menu is freshly prepared and great value, but it is the play area where all the fun is for the children, bouncing around in a multi coloured Jungle themed soft-play area under the ever-watchful eyes of staff and parents.

 

Customer care is not a new concept at Junglee Fun as Samantha spent many years as an Airline Cabin Crew Manager for before branching out into self-employment.

 

The café is open to all, whether or not they bring children, as is the small shop which stocks wooden toys, handcrafted cards, books, personalised frames and lots more.

PROJECTED CAPITAL REQUIRED

 

The initial franchise fee required to become a Junglee Fun Ltd business owner is £10,000.  In addition there is a monthly Management Service Fee of 8% of turnover payable for on-going support and advice.

 

The initial fee represents the amount payable for the licence to operate the Junglee Fun system within a given territory. This fee also includes help and advice on site selection, site fit-out, initial training in our training unit and post-opening assistance at your own site, operations support and the loan of the various manuals required to run a Junglee Fun franchise opportunity.

 

Whilst at this very early stage it is difficult to give exact figures on the amount of capital required, an initial indication of the start up cost is £25 per sq ft.

 

A general indication of some of the areas which will incur a cost are given below.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM JUNGLEE FUN

 

TRAINING

 

It is essential that you feel confident when you start your business, as this reassures customers and promotes your professional entertainment business to its best advantage.

 

We have therefore tailored a specialised 10-day training programme at our training unit that encompasses every aspect of the business. There is also a separate customer service skills course. This will include “in house” training sessions, in the Junglee Fun Café, as well as live party experience.

 

We appreciate that entering a new business can be daunting. However, once you have the necessary knowledge and confidence, together with the ongoing training and support you are ready for the excitement and challenges ahead.

 

You will not need any prior knowledge or experience in the field of entertaining children.

 

Training is comprehensive and includes not only entertaining skills but also the development of the business generally, with sales, marketing, finance, health and safety, recruiting and managing staff and administration being included. You will also meet and make valuable contact with the support staff and other new franchisees.

From day one a team of experts is dedicated to helping you establish and grow your business and will support you. You will be introduced to a suitable banking partner if necessary, and provided with help and advice in setting up and running your office.
