Construction of main Orphanage building

This is a cross profile of the whole project.

In the background is George and Hellen's home (the owners of the Orphanage). In the foreground is the fellowship hall. The brethren helped to raise money for paint the improve the look of the hall.

In between the home and fellowship hall is where the new Orphanage is to be constructed. The picture also shows some of the stones and bricks to be used for the foundations and walls.

Pictured here are first 2000 bricks for the construction of the Orphanage. In total 6000 bricks will be required to complete the building.

To the left of the brick is the area where the pit latrine is being dug.

Pictured is the construction of the 30' latrine. This is being constructed for sanitation purposes.

The foundations for the Orphanage are going in. The use stone for this, and then build on it with bricks.

The Orphanage home is shown here under construction. The church (fellowship hall) is shown in the background.

The walls are now higher than many of the children.

Shown is a wooden structure which is being used as a temporary kitchen. The permanent kitchen will be built last of all.

Barclays Community Bank, Kisumu give a donation of £500 for the building fund. Some did a sponsored walk to help raise this money.
