Select the
Route Planner and either enter "Colinton" in the search or select "Colinton"
on the Map.
From the city centre, Princes Street, you can catch a number 10 LRT (Lothian Regional Transport) Bus (double decker, dark red with a white top). It should cost about 80 pence and take between 15 and 20 minutes depending on traffic. The service is normally every 20 minutes during the day.
Ask to be let off at Colinton , at the start of Woodhall road.
Landmarks you should see on the bus as you near Colinton :-
You should pass Redford Barracks on your left and Merchiston Castle School on your right. Two stops on from Redford Barracks you should pass a Porsche /Ferrari garage to your right as you come to traffic lights were the road forks. This is Colinton Village. The road forks to Woodhall Road on the left. If you get off the bus here, you should see the Old School House.
