Getting to Edinburgh
Edinburgh International Airport is close to the city. The airport is a short (15 minute) taxi ride from here. You can also take an express bus into the city. Car hire is available at the airport, or from numerous businesses in town.
The East Coast line is the fastest inter-city railway in Britain, and links Edinburgh's Waverley station with London and Europe. ScotRail, Railtrack and West Coast lines link the city with Northern and Western Britain.
Edinburgh City centre is well served by frequent coaches to the main cities of Britain and numerous tourist excursions.
By car -
You will find Edinburgh at the hub of the Scottish motorway network. The M8 links Glasgow in about 1/2 hour and further onto the west coast taking you past the "Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond". You can travel the M9 up to Stirling and further on up the Trossacks to Rob Roy country. Drive over the Forth Road Bridge and you can view the spectacular Forth Railway Bridge as you travel onto to Perth or St Andrews for a round golf.
