The Contractor
was introduced in the mid 60s as a heavy tractor. This is a 'baby'
125 tonner (indicated by smaller wheels and hubs) operated by
Pickfords. Its unusual as it's fitted with 'cycle wings'. |

This specifically
designed Contractor for Sparrows crane hire was designed to haul
their eight axle 90 ton Gottwald (500 ton lift capacity) crane.
This is the 240 ton version with larger wheels and tyres. |
