APPEARANCE

Mordekai's familiar, Grymalkin is a reddish-brown creature about 18" long and appears like a young red dragon. His chameleon-like powers allow him to appear 80% invisible against normal backgrounds.

CHARACTER

Grym will only fight in dire emergencies to save his master, but has already saved him at least once from serious injury. They have been together for about 12 years, and Mordekai likes to take him everywhere, except in the most dangerous of circumstances. Unfortunately this can lead to a few scenes, as the common folk of the land don't take too kindly to dragons in their midst. Nonetheless, they tend to back down when they realise a wizard is involved. A favourite trick of Mordekai's is to use ESP to read the minds of such offensive folk, and divert their attentions by revealing their deep secrets.

Like his master, Grym is a lover of the comforts of life. He is, however, fearless, and when mixed with his other characteristic of curiosity, can lead to dangerous or awkward situations.
