National Trust: Rothbury.

Cragside  is situated just outside Rothbury to the North West of Warkworth. The house is renouned for their magnificent Rhododendrons and was the first house in the world to be be lit by modern electric light generated by its own hydro electricity.

Visit Europes largest rock garden, see Englands tallest Douglas Fir and enjoy a picnic by one of the beautiful lakes created by Lord Armstrong to power the Estate.

There are over 40 miles of footpaths and breathtaking views.
