Warkworth is a quiet coastal village situated approximately 35 miles north of Newcastle. It is an ideal central location for anyone interested in history, ornithology, walking or simply touring the area. Many places to visit are within easy driving distance.

Newcastle and the Metro Centre are within a 45 minute drive. Within one mile is the fishing port of Amble, the Amble Marina and beautiful sandy beaches.

 

Warkworth boasts its own Norman Castle as well as art galleries, antique shops, tea rooms and gift shops. Some of the finest restuarants and public houses in Northumberland provide a wide range of eating options in Warkworth. All of these amenities, public transport, a post office and a grocers shop are within the village; a ten minute walk from the holiday cottage.
