One of my best memories was when we did Ant & Dec's Christmas Special in Newcastle. The drinking spree started when Roy Wood out of Wizzard helped us smuggle some bottles of wines from Channel 4. He's a brilliant bloke in a 'laydeez' kind of way, and he took us and the rest of Wizzard down to the pub, where we stole some beer. We were playing on a boat and weren't supposed to have any alcohol, but we smuggled it on in water bottles. By the time it was over, we were totally drunk and we convinced Ant & Dec to come out with us. We went to this hotel and at one point I said to Dec, 'Look! Look! It's him out of Ultrasound,' and I can't tell you what he said because it was too sweary. I found out that Ant likes Sheryl Crow and I was calling Dec 'Fonzie'. The night ended with Marie having a massive argument with Roland Rivron, which I was very embarrassed about." |
