"The Liberal Democrats exist to build a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity".

Our mission is to serve the people of Heywood and Middleton to the best of our ability. We do this by asking you for your comments as to what you would like to see done in your area, and then giving the residents regular feedback through our FOCUS newsletters. We never promise that we can do everything for everybody, but what we do promise is that we will work 12 months of the year for the community, and keep in touch all year round, not just at election time.
