Aims and Victory Points

From the orders for turn 28 it looked like some sort of political hegemony was agreed.

Beaufort was going to be Lord Protector, heading a cross-party government including the young Duke of York. However, certain prominent figures were being frozen out, including the Queen and the Earl of Warwick and it seems unlikely that real long-term stability was likely. Nonetheless, by the end of the game, Beaufort was unquestionably top of the pile and has some claim to be 'the winner'.

Since the victory point system was originally designed for a duration of 20 game years, the league tables needed some adjusting. Essentially, what I've done is given everyone an end-of-game bonus, similar to Christmas 1460, and then divided all one-shot gains by 12 if soft (capable of being lost) or 8 if hard. (Strictly speaking for the time elapsed, the divisor should be 13 but I wanted a little weighting towards those who had made good gains in game-time and it made the arithmetic easier.)

Finally I multiplied everything by 10 to give round numbers.
