The Centre opened in May 1999, its aim being to offer students a Multi-Level education into the Fighting Arts.
It prides itself in having a modern approach to Martial Arts training, but still maintains the etiquette found in more traditional systems.

Students can experience and train in six ranges of combat, from hand held weaponry to ground fighting.

Shildon Martial Arts Centre is the only school in the area to have authority to promote Jeet Kune Do Concepts - Under Sifu Marc McFann-USA and has direct lineage to the Inosanto Academy–Los Angeles.
The Centre is also proud to have close associations with other world class Instructors Including World-Light Heavy Weight Shooto Champion Sensei Erik Paulson-USA
