Main Interface

Loading

Whilst the browser is loading, a progress window, like the one shown here is displayed on your screen. When loading has finished, this window will disappear, and the browser will open.

Main Window

Once loaded, the window shown here will be displayed. This has been broken down into more detail to describe the functions of the interface.

Menu Bar

At the top of the window is the browser's menu bar, this is described in more detail on the next page.

Tool Bar

Next comes the tool bar. On this are situated a number of buttons, which can be used as shortcuts to the most commonly used functions of the browser. These are as follows.
  • New Window - Opens a new browser window
  • Open - Opens a document from a local file
  • Previous - This goes to the previous document in the window's history
  • Next - This goes to the next document in the window's history
  • Reload - This reloads the current document from it's original source
  • Home - This loads the home page
  • Add Favourite - Adds the current document to the favourites list

Address Bar

Directly under the tool bar can be found a text field. This displays the URL of the currently loaded document. It is also possible to enter the location of a new document, either a file or a URL, and on pressing "Enter", that document will be loaded into the window.
