Winter skills The hills in
winter can be a rewarding experience, but are more serious than in summer. In winter
conditions you need to know how to use axes & crampons, and have a good
knowledge of avalanche awareness. Mountain
navigation skills at this time of year is far more important than in summer,
so it will feature throughout the course. The course
will look at all these skills so you will be better equipped to enjoy your
winter walks in safety. |

Scramble up the hills If you fancy
something a bit more challenging than fell walking, but aren’t sure about
doing it on your own, then this is the course for you. This is the
course where you can be a little more adventurous in the hills, whilst still
enjoying a good days walk, under the guidance of qualified & experienced
staff. |
