PROFILE AND CAREER HISTORY
PORTFOLIO

PROFILE

I am a web developer with 3 years experience in the E-Commerce, New Media and Travel industries. I have experienced diverse working environments, ranging from a small E-Commerce solutions provider with an exclusive client base, including Invensys, Compaq, Frantic Networks and Unilever, to being involved at all stages with the delivery of projects and websites within larger organisations such as AOL, a large-scale multinational ISP providing an exclusive range of online services.

In my most recent role as Internet Development Analyst for Inghams Travel I was the sole developer, responsible for all aspects concerning the delivery of the online version of the Inghams Travel brochures. I also undertook numerous extra projects in order to streamline the working practices of other departments within the company, including forms-based SQL Server solutions for certain elements of the brochure websites, as well as more administrative responsibilities, such as Search Engine Optimization to increase Inghams' web presence.

INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES

I am a keen squash and badminton player, cultivated over the last 15 years. Whilst at University I won a medal for my part in the inter-university squash championships, which we had a good deal of success in. Although we didn't qualify for the cup competition, we went on to win the plate competition.

I also founded and jointly ran the AOL squash club, forming a league system that was held and updated on the intranet, providing me with skills in organisation and promotion as a result of building up a membership base of around 30 via the internal listserve.
