Practical Photography You Be The Judge

This was the first site I did for Practical Photography. It gave the Practical Photography readers the chance to act as judges in a photography competition, rather than having the usual panel of experts doing the judging. A camera and some goodies from Kodak were up for grabs.

I collected the form data with a Perl script, which used the Perl sendmail module to transpose the form results into an email template and send this to Practical Photography when readers submitted their votes.

The layout of the page was designed by myself but based on the layout of the competition page in the magazine. The images were provided, but I cropped them all down and formatted them for the web using Photoshop and did all the HTML coding by hand using TextPad.
