Curriculum Vitae for Simon Rigby - Web developer with commercial experience of Perl, HTML, javascript, DHTML, CSS, SQL Server, IIS administration and XML on Windows NT and UNIX platforms. Available as a freelance developer or as an IT contractor.

This was a simple competitions site allowing Practical Photography readers to register their choices for the annual manufacturers awards. Readers would vote in a variety of photographic categories with a chance to win a holiday in Tunisia.

I modified the Perl script used for the previous site, but extended the functionality due to additional requirements. The script and template are available for download as a zip file. Readers were required to answer some survey questions on a second page before their votes would be entered. If they were readers of Practical Photography magazine they would be directed to a different page than if they were Digital Photo readers.

The layout of the page was designed by myself but based on the layout of the competition page in the magazine. The images were provided, but I cropped them all down and formatted them for the web using Photoshop and did all the HTML coding by hand using TextPad.
