Just purchased an Oceanfarer. Transported by truck from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to Len's Cove Marina in Portland, Ontario. She sat covered outside for 3 seasons. The port 6 cylinder GM has water in the pan, hopefully a head gasket or cracked head rather than a cracked cylinder. Now the IN-X-S has been winterized. We are taking all of the exterior wood off and stripping and re-finishing this winter. The exterior hull will be wet sanded and waxed and polished this winter ready for spring launching.

I have just found your site, very interesting & informative. we have had our cabin 24 for 12 years now, and we wouldn't part with it, except for a 27 at the right price.The only problem we have had is finding the right size props for 110/200 engines/legs at the moment we are useing 12x14, any ideas? and guess what there is a silver sun 230 with 145 volvo's & sx drives on our pontoon.the coronet 24 is a very good sea boat and will take any weather, but doesn't like a big following sea.

I am currently looking at getting a coronet 24 to do up. Are there any major problems I should look for, the one that I have been looking at has twin volvo-penta 200's petrol outdrives. it is missing a few bits which I have managed to find suppliers for at a reasonable price. Hi all, I'm the proud owner of a 21' Daycruiser, bought 3rd hand 5 years ago. She has two Volvo Penta petrol engines 120 HP each, and runs great notwithstanding her age. Very good behaviour in rough seas as well: I have to say that she'able to cope with much worse conditions than my usual crew (wife&daughter) can withstand! My 2 brothers and I are nearing the complete restoration of this cracking boat (and I do mean complete - all wood stripped and revarnished, fibreglass has new gelcoat, engines and outdrives complete rebuilds, complete rewire to original spec....etc. etc.) She has twin straight 6 cylinder 172 horse power petrol engines with 280 outdrives (they're 1982 vintage) so should do about 35knots?? I bought Sirocco VIII just over a year ago - shes undergoing a full refit, as all the woodwork (and some of the adjoining glasfibre) had been "painted" with some sort of thick brown gunk by a previous owner. Not a pretty sight - Stripping, sanding and varnishing has given wonderful results - the beauiful grained wood is now beginning to show. I have a full canopy for her, but the metal fittings and poles have long gone. Any ideas on making a replacement would be welcome. The next big job is the AQ130s and 2

We owned our Coronet while living in Alaska, it was shipped from Seattle, WA. Our first boating experience we didn't even know how to get her from the trailer to the berth. Boated in Prince William Sound in the late 1970's. Her name was Point's North and WE LOVED HER! Would love to find another one, except now maybe a 26' family. I have just found this site and am so glad you are all out there. We have a deisel Coronet with an aft cabin as well as a forward cabin. It it a great sea boat and we love it but due to some health problems , we are selling. Her name is Sea Dog and we have had some wonderful experiences aboardas Prince Edward Island is such a lovely place to go boating and swimming.

My husband always wanted to buy a Coronet. We first bought a 21 than after 2 summers we bought the 27 model. We are very pleased with her. We've been to Sicily twice. We first went to the east side ,than last summer we went to the west side of Sicily. I just found the site and am amazed at the following and interest in the boats. We bought "Rambling Rose" two years ago so that we could stay out for the weekend with our two girls.
