Summer Camp 2009

For many years I have run a one or two day summer camp for the County side that I have been the lead coach for. This year I am proposing to run a 4 day summer camp from 24th to 27th of August at Watford Grammar School/West Herts pitch( map) from 10:00 to 16:00, with 1 of those days wholly given over goalkeepers. There is also a taster session being run on the same day as the goalkeepers sessions. I will be assisted by Matthew Piper (last seasons County U16 boys coach) and some others.

During the camp, we will be coaching the core skills outlined by England Hockey Association. These will include for outfield: ball carrying, hitting and receiving, tackling, ball retention, aerial and reverse stick work as well as game play. For goalkeepers, this will include: hand and footwork, movement and positioning, interception and smothering.

The cost for the camp is as follows:

	2 days £75
	3 days £110
