CAR HISTORY
This car figures in early TBC history. Back in 1987 when IJ, AJ and Pete Boddy had been helping out marshalling at CDMC they used to see this car out on events. Quite noticeable in those days as not many Estelles were rallied at club level. Anyway, she started out as a Skoda Trophy car in 1985 driven by Chris Asquith and then sold to Peter Wise who kept her from 1986 until 2002. She last rallied with Pete in 1999. Fitted with a Favorit motor at some point which had been purchased from Paul Cook who used to rally a 1600cc X-Flow engined Favorit on local East Mids events. It's a small world round here.......
It was resurrected in 2003 and since then only comes out in the summer and not very often at that. 2006 saw the new colour scheme applied along with new wings and back panel and as there was still some pink paint left from last time it could only have one name.
In mid 2008 it was decided to make the car all one colour to make it eligible to do road rallies. She has now been painted white. The interior will now be redetailed with various items in pink - The rollcage for starters.
The old running gear from the legend that was the original Ermintrude has also been retained so at some point the straight cut box may well make an appearance.
