The first Sonneteer product to hit the market was the highly acclaimed Campion, line integrated amplifier, that was the foundation of the sound and build quality reputation which now precedes the mark. Having established this mark of quality the Sonneteer Alabaster (World Winner `98 award from Hi Fi World), a more powerful line integrated amplifier, was launched in late 1996 to even greater acclaim than the Campion, a feat believed at the time, to be impossible. Sonneteer have since launched the Sonneteer Sedley, a high specification phono pre-amplifier which offers load, gain and RIAA/IEC selection (without taking the lid off) making it adaptable to just about any cartridge on the market. Initial customer feedback was excellent and top class reviews followed, including a 5-star review from What Hi Fi? and World Winner (`99) from Hi Fi World. The Sonneteer Sedley remains to this day, a very popular product. 1998 saw the introduction of the Byron CD player. It, along with the Dryden DAC are both based on Multibit, Delta Sigma technology with a little bit of Sonneteer analogue spice thrown in. The Byron is now our best selling product, with the new Brontė digital amplifier competing strongly with the Campion for the second spot. Sonneteer stepped into the new Millennium with the introduction of it's Brontė series. This includes the Brontė digital amplifier, a highly efficient amplifier using Class T digital technology and the first of its kind - anywhere! Also available is the matching Brontė 24 bit / 96 kHz CD player. The Brontė power amplifier will be released during 2002. All Sonneteer products are hand made with close attention to detail. The philosophy behind the products is to design and build products that the designers themselves would be happy with at home. If they can't live with them they do not expect anyone else to. All design work is done in house and all products are under continuous development.
