Welcome to the new Sonneteer news page.
Another poet spotlights in the Sonneteer corner.

A sneak preview of the new high end analogue amplifier from Sonneteer is now available on their website. Sonneteer have decided to give the world a small insight into their development process by giving us a taste of the new Orton which, as they say, will be ready when they are.

Having spent the better part of the last year pushing their digital exploits the Sonneteer team have gone back to their roots and have been working on a high end analogue amplifier. Details are as yet very sketchy, but we can tell you that it will not be a replacement model for any of the current range. The Sonneteer Orton will be positioned at a much higher level pricewise than existing Sonneteer branded products. Alabaster and Campion fans need not be concerned.

Those of us who were expecting a development on the digital front need not be concerned either. Sources close to the development team have told us that analogue and digital amplification technologies are being developed in parallel and without particular preference given to either. Brontë digital amp shown at the High End show Frankfurt.

The High End Society of Germany's Frankfurt show saw the Continental debut of British high-end manufacturer, Sonneteer's Brontë digital amplifier. The Brontë is the worlds first affordable integrated amplifier of its kind. Based on Tripath Class 'T' technology the Brontë was engineered and crafted by the designers at FTM Marketing Ltd. owners of the Sonneteer brand.

The digital technology employed allows the Bronte to have super high levels of efficiency. This basically means the power consumed by the amplifier is transfered to the music and not wasted on heat, as is the case in the classic analogue product. This allows the designer to squeeze a lot of powerhouse into a small box which is more accessible to the consumer. The low levels of heat output also means that the Brontë is very well suited to home and custom install where the stacking of multiple amplifiers is required. A number of features have been added to the Bronte to take full advantage in such situations.

The new development of Class'T', with the addition of more than a little Sonneteer spice and magic steps digital amplification into the super league of high end audio amplification which has been dominated by the analogue players, including the Sonneteer Campion and Alabaster, since its inception.

Success for Sonneteer at the Frankfurt show 2003.

At the High society's last outing in Frankfurt before moving to Munich for 2004, the British high end hi-fi manufacturer Sonneteer was there to liven up the party.
The show which was organised by the High End Society of Germany and held at the Hotel Kempinski in the Neu Isenburg area of Frankfurt. Amongst the high lights of the show were the acclaimed Bronte digital amplifier and CD player alongside the legendary Alabaster and Campion amplifiers as well as the Cult classic, the Byron CD player.
