ICT Literacy Planning
In the following tables each set of learning objectives is matched with three
different ‘layers’ of activities.
1. Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) activities. Some of these are generic – you can
use them in many different contexts. Others are specific to particular
objectives and software packages.
2. Essential ICT use. These are examples of software or hardware which
facilitate a particular learning objective in a way which would be difficult to
achieve without the use of ICT.
3. Extension ICT use. These are examples of software or hardware which enrich
and add value to a particular objective. These may extend children’s learning
and may also link into other areas of the curriculum.
