Portishead to preview new album on the net
* Music Network picked to capture New York preview for Web exclusive

Specialist Internet company, Music Network, is joining top band, Portishead, at New York's Roseland Ballroom later this month to capture exclusive previews of tracks from the band's forthcoming album for a new Portishead Web site - www.portishead.com.

Working with a team of photographers at the event, Music Network will gather a series of digital images of the band which will be posted directly onto the pre-designed Web site. Alongside these digital images will be the latest Portishead news and interviews compiled from press conferences scheduled while the band is in New York.

The site will act as a precursor to the definitive Portishead Web site currently being developed by Music Network. The launch of this second phase Web site will be timed to coincide with the release of the band's forthcoming album, Portishead, later in the year.

"The first stage of Portishead's Web site will demonstrate what an effective reporting tool the Internet can be. Within hours of the event, fans will be able to view high quality digital images from the show as well as catch up with the band's latest gossip," commented Tony Martin, managing director, Music Network.

The Portishead site will be live go July 25th on: www.portishead.co.uk.
