News & Updates See 'Diary Page' for next meet details, modules etc. Since the last Meet we have had the MadNess Event at Weston together with Snake Bend Group and a small HO set up from RS Tower. We had a reasonably trouble free set up on Friday and trains were running by middle of Sat morning. We did however have continued problems with loss of Loconet which was eventually tracked down to long loconet cable runs and unpowered UP5's. Once this was sorted trouble free running followed. During the weekend we had unseasonably cold weather and members and visitors were 'well wrapped up' even inside the building. The hot food van was a success even though customers had to brave the elements to buy good value fare. The wet weather obviously deterred visitors but sufficient numbers attended to make the event viable. We had the customary Chinese Meal in Shardlow with our friends from Snake Bend and Ted S + Neil C also joined us. It was an enjoyable social evening. The large set up was impressive, it was good fun to run trains around the various module combinations and we will be holding further joint set ups next year. Watch this space for details.
