Well, its over two long years since The Golden Virgins' played their last gig and no one posts on the message board anymore. Has the light in the Golden Virgins' window been switched off once and for all? Well I don't know about you but I miss the Golden Virgins (especially at this time of year, anyone remember that beautiful b-side on the twelve days of Christmas 7"). I still remember the first time I heard 'I've Seen The Light' and going out to buy the 7" on Rex. I still remember the first time I saw them play and the first radio session and the day that they became rock and roll stars and played on live TV. And while I know this is all in the past there is still a dim flicker in the window and a distant sound of music as someone sits by their record player drinking whisky or gin. Maybe if you knock on the door they will let you in...
