Churches Together in Headingley.

"Churches Together" is a nationwide organisation of churches from 22 denominations which enables them work together by coordinating the work they do separately. For more information click on these links: Churches Together in England and Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.

This is a forum where Churches of all denominations in Headingley can come together to co-operate on solving issues of concern to the community as a whole.

Join us as we travel to Liverpool on Saturday 7th June . The coach is booked but the seats will need filling! We hope there will be sufficient support from the 8 churches to make it viable. Live at Home - A Churches Together in Headingley initiative

This is a scheme to help older people to continue living in their own homes which we are hoping to set up in Headingley. By providing support for independent living it aims to reduce feelings of being lonely, isolated and undervalued . Each scheme is set up by the local community in response to local needs, often based round the church community. The scheme is part of the Methodist Homes Association which would offer encouragement and expertise but the energy and commitment for each scheme comes from local people. Reliance is on volunteers who give as much or as little time as they can spare. Successful schemes are already running in other parts of Leeds, including Pudsey, Moor Allerton and Shadwell.
