The Bible Reading Fellowship

One of the most important sources of support, information, and inspiration for Christians is the Bible. Regular reading of both the Old and New Testament is not only necessary but in a sense obligatory if we are to understand and grow our spiritual life in GOD. In today's world it is not always easy to set time aside on a regular basis to read our Bibles. This is where Bible Notes, such as those produced by the Bible Reading Fellowship, can help. These notes give a passage of Scripture, explanatory notes, and a prayer, for each day of the year, and are designed to help regular reading.
I have samples of the two main booklets available, 'New Daylight' and 'Guidelines', which you can take away and study. There are three issues per year, starting on 1st May, followed by further notes issued for 1st September, and 1st January 2007. A year's subscription for either booklet costs £10.05. The large print version of 'New Daylight' costs £14.97. Copies can be posted to your home, but otherwise are made available for collection from the back of Church prior to the issue date.

Subscription Renewal

I have been reading through my BRF subscription renewal notices which go back to 2001. I feel I could be in danger of repeating myself! Sufficient then this year to say that the Annual Subscription for the BRF Notes will be due for renewal before 1st May 2009 . The cost will be £11.10 for a set of three issues, whether New Daylight or Guide Lines , which covers through to the end of April 2010.

For those who are wondering what the Bible Reading Fellowship is all about, let me briefly explain. The BRF supply, through a series of Notes, short passages from the Bible with accompanying explanations, for everyday reading of the Bible . Please make contact with me if you would like to know more about the Fellowship . If you would like to consider joining, ask me to give you some copies of past Notes. They should help you to make your own decision as to which of the two Series of Notes would better suit you.

Peter Hemming distributes an alternative series of Bible Reading Notes , which fulfil the same purpose.
