St. Chad's Choir Choirmaster: Richard Wilson email from here Since it's earliest beginnings St. Chad's has maintained a strong choral tradition. It is one of the top church choirs in Leeds, and sings for two services regularly every Sunday from a wide repertoire of choral anthems and service settings. The choir sings regularly in major cathedrals throughout the country, and in 1990 made a singing tour of Denmark in partnership with the choir of St. John the Baptist, Knaresborough.

In addition to the normal choral demands of church worship major works are frequently undertaken, the successful performance of Mozart's Requiem in 1995 being a typical example. Most of the choristers develop other musical talents, and play a wide variety of instruments to a high standard, augmenting the church's Music Group on non-choral occasions. There is no doubt that their choral skills help them enormously in their instrumental studies. Websites about church music
